I will meet you in your home or a local coffee shop nearby; whatever is most comfortable or convenient for you.  This is usually an hour long getting-to-know-each-other session to see if we are a good match together.  Feel free to also ask any questions you have about doulas and what I can/will do specifically for you and anything else you want me to know that will help me to support you better.

Birth Doula Services ~ $1200 to $1500

Once you hire your doula, then we will arrange for the following:

  • 1 home visit scheduled soon after you hire your doula to discuss all of your options with more getting to know each other time
  • 1 more home visit* scheduled around your 36 week mark to go over more practical coping skills and a full review of your doula's special bag of tricks and tips for labor
  • on call 24 hours a day for 3 weeks before and after your due date
  • attendance at your labor & birth with lactation assistance after your baby is born
  • 1 postpartum visit with any assistance you need & on call support via phone & email

*More home visits can be arranged if you hire your doula earlier in your pregnancy.

Back Up Doula

It is very, very rare that I actually use a back up Doula, but in the event that this is necessary, I know you will get the Doula that is right for you when you need her and I arrange this all for you at no extra cost to you.  I mostly work with Shannon Padlog as my back up since we work so well together, but if you like, you can also choose another Doula to be your back up and I can communicate with her on how we can best support you. 

Photography ~ no extra charge

We can also take pictures to record your journey if you like.  All pictures taken would be returned to you on a CD during our postpartum visit.  Or to make matters easier, we can just grab your camera and click away so you can bond with your baby and we can capture it all for you.

Birth Stool ~ $50 to reserve

We just recently acquired a beautiful, handcrafted birth stool.  We can only offer this to one Mama per month so please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to reserve it.  Please also make sure your OB or Midwife is OK delivering your baby on this stool.  We completely sterilize it after each use and it is stored cleanly in one of our homes until it is brought to you by your primary Doula when you call for labor support.  It will only be brought to you if you have previously reserved it.

Labor Tubs ~ $150 rental fee

We also have portable labor tubs available for you to rent as well.  These are great if you are planning to spend as much time at home as possible before transitioning to the hospital to give birth.  Being submersed in water is one of the best coping tricks you can use; especially for first time Mamas.  These tubs are like oversized, inflatable kiddie pools but made specifically for laboring women.  They have padding all along the sides and bottom for extra cushion and support.  Liners will be used to keep the  tub sterile.  We even have the supplies to help you fill the tub and empty it quickly and cleanly along with extra leak protection for your floor.
