Yes & No. Doulas can not communicate to your care providers on your behalf. Instead, our job is to empower you with the right information for you to make your own decisions and communicate your needs and desires effectively with hospital staff on the day your child is born. If you would like to consult with me before you make a decision, that is perfectly fine but in the end you are the one that makes the choices that are right for you.
